4-H Youth Development
4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults. As a program of the University of California, 4-H prepares young people to make a positive impact in their communities and their world while advancing the field of youth development.
Livestock Projects - Important Update
As of January 1, 2017, all medically-important antibiotics for use in or on feed and in water now require a veterinary feed directive (VFD) or a prescription. This new requirement will affect many livestock producers including 4-H members.
The State 4-H Office, in coordination with the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Extension, and the California Department of Food and Agriculture will be presenting one-hour webinars on multiple dates to explain the new regulations and their implications. Please see the Animal Science page for information about the webinars and resource links.
4-H Record Book - Resources
This is an excellent asset for new members or if you are new to ORB.
